Open a shift first
Every selling screen stays closed until a shift is open. Count the cash you are starting with, enter it, and the till is ready — see Shifts and cash.
From that moment every sale, refund and cash movement carries a cashier's name and a shift.
Each cashier signs in with their own PIN. Switching cashier is one tap on the name in the header and does not close the shift, so two people can share a counter through a busy hour.
Find an item
Tap a tile in the product grid, or filter the grid by category. To search, press / or F2 and type part of a name or a product code; results come back from the shop's server as you type.
Scan an item
A scan works on any screen and drops the item straight into the cart. If the barcode belongs to exactly one variant, the till skips the variant picker entirely.
The same scanner does the other jobs too: a scanned receipt barcode opens that sale on the returns screen, and a scan on a receiving sheet books stock in.
Choose a size or colour
A product with several variants opens a picker. Move with the arrow keys and confirm with Enter; out-of-stock variants are shown but cannot be chosen, and a scan closes the picker by choosing for you.
Sell something not in the catalog
Press F6 for a custom item, type a name and a price, and it goes on the sale as a one-off line. Use it for anything that has no catalog row — a repair, a deposit, an odd item from the back.
Change a quantity
Press * then the digits to set the quantity of the focused line. - takes one off, Del removes the line, and the arrow keys move between lines.
Shift+Del clears the whole sale and asks you to confirm first.
Discounts
A line discount is applied to one line, as a percentage or a fixed amount. An order discount, on F7, applies to the whole basket.
The server spreads an order discount across the lines rather than subtracting it from the total, so the tax charged matches what the customer actually pays. Discounts open only for the roles you allow, and each one is recorded against the person who gave it.
See what a sale earns
Hold the Margin button, or hold F11, and the cart shows the cost of each line plus the cost, profit and margin for the whole basket. Let go and it disappears.
It is held rather than toggled on purpose: the figure cannot be left on screen while a supervisor turns to serve somebody. Cashiers never receive the cost figures at all.
Park a sale and come back
Press F4 to set the current cart aside, serve the person behind, and F5 to pick it up again. Parked sales survive the till being restarted, so a customer who went home for their wallet does not cost you the basket.
Take the payment
Press F8 for payment. Enter the cash the customer handed over — the note buttons match the actual Turkmen notes — and the till counts the change.
For a card, take the payment on your bank's terminal and record the amount on the till. You can note the last four digits and the authorisation code for reconciliation.
Split a payment
One sale can be settled across as many methods as you need: cash, card, gift card and store credit in any combination. Add a line per method and the till tracks what is left to pay and what change is due as you go.
The server checks the tenders when it commits the sale, so a card line larger than the sale itself is refused rather than quietly accepted.
The receipt
Receipts print on 58 or 80 mm paper in Turkmen or Russian, with your shop header, every line and its discount, the tax, the totals, the methods paid and the change, and the cashier's name.
A barcode under the totals encodes the receipt number, so the returns desk scans it instead of typing it. A reprint is marked as a reprint, and cannot be mistaken for a second sale.
